Olton Chess Club has been in existence since 1944 and is one of the larger and most successful chess clubs in the Birmingham area. It meets every Tuesday from 7.00pm at Tyseley Working Mens Club, Warwick Road, Tyseley, Birmingham.

Olton Chess Club has four teams in the Birmingham & District Chess League, plus three teams in the Leamington & District Chess League and one in the Worcestershire League.
Tyseley Working Mens Club provides Olton Chess Club with a high-quality and spacious venue for the purposes of playing chess and social activities. It is regarded by many as the best chess venue in the Birmingham League. The club is run by a committee consisting of five annually elected officers, the Club Life-President, plus captains of the various teams.
Overall, we feel that we cater for players of all strengths and can offer help to those just starting out in the game, or thinking of doing so. We offer a friendly atmosphere in the pleasant surroundings at Tyseley Working Mens Club.
