About the Club

Tyseley Working Mens Club is an excellent venue for the playing of chess. The upstairs function room provides a separate and quiet setting for matchplay and friendlies alike. Lighting in the room is excellent and the venue is arguably without equal within the Birmingham and Leamington Leagues.

Smoking Shelter

Members may purchase drinks from the bar downstairs on club nights and there is a covered outdoor area for smokers. The car park has recently been resurfaced and is now barrier controlled. Visitors will need to use the intercom to gain access to the car park.

Congress Room

A Member's View

The club meets in the large upstairs function room at Tyseley WMC, which has excellent seating, tables and toilet facilities. Members may use the downstairs bar and can enjoy the full benefits of the facilities at the Tyseley club, by applying for TWMC membership.

Tournaments

These two pictures were taken at the 2007 BDCL Lightning Tournament. Summer and Winter Tournaments are arranged each year. With a competitive and friendly atmosphere, lower standard players can test their skill against the stronger members. Every effort is made to accommodate all new members in this superb club, where there is always someone ready for a game.
